The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.
SASSA will be rendering expert services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed concerning the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there here is no completely functional office focused on service the area daily. The company point produced for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it sassa status check hard for that office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to empower the servicing of all consumers and increase entry sassa status to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
